Growing Disciples

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
~ John 13:35

Growing Disciples – what does this mean at Portland Christian?

It starts with living our lives as followers of Jesus Christ.   PCS programs such as Peer Ministry, Junior Service Projects, Serve Day, and Chapel intentionally teach students about these qualities.  However, it is by engaging in the day-to-day activities of homework, sports, the arts, clubs, service projects, and even just hanging out with friends, that students put into practice what it truly means to be a disciple who leads by example.

Leadership is not only about position, title, power, influence, and authority.  True leadership is also about service, integrity, humility, courage, and love for one another.

Growing Community

“We are consistently impressed with everything about this school. There is a strong academic and social/emotional curriculum, a friendly community, support for learning … and the staff is an excellent model of Christ’s love.  There’s no better place to be than PCS!” ~ a PCS parent

Portland Christian is a community of families who love one another, help one another, pray for one another, and support one another through all of life’s joys and cares. Lasting connections are formed during your school years at PCS, making the PCS family your family for life!

Read about a family's experience at PCS:
"PCS is a faith-based school where our kids could stay from start to finish — kindergarten through graduation — that’s small enough to provide a family-feel, but big enough to offer many options."  ~ a PCS parent
