75% of all Marmion varsity athletes maintained a 3.0 or high GPA and were named Academic All-Conference by the Chicago Catholic League
The Marmion Academy athletic department offers fourteen (14) varsity sports competing at the freshman, sophomore, junior varsity, and varsity levels.
We are proud members of the Chicago Catholic League, Chicago Catholic Hockey League, and the Metro Catholic Aquatics Conference. In addition, Marmion Academy is a member of the Illinois High School Association.
The philosophy of the Marmion Academy athletic department aligns itself with the educational philosophy of the Academy. Athletics is an extension of the academic day, where the top priority is the individual students needs and interests within a team setting. Coaches are expected to be teachers, who not only teach the proper techniques of their sport, but who build character and prepare young men to carry the values they learn with them into adult life. Athletes are expected to be students who strive to discover their talents, and labor to realize their potential.

Hard work and dedication are two key factors in becoming a successful athlete. Since 2015, over 65 Marmion athletes have gone on to play their sport at the collegiate level.
