Today is the day! Our Spring Open House is happening from 9:00-11:00 a.m. this morning. We can’t wait to meet our future Clementines🍊
Friday’s assembly was all about fun! Vice Principal Henricks mused about why we gather for assembly twice a week: “Assemblies are a time to come together and have a shared experience. We learn about important topics together…and it’s also key to come together just to have fun. That is so important for our wellbeing - and so as times get busy over the next few weeks heading to the end of the school year, please take time for fun, be silly, do things that bring you joy.” And that led directly into a very fun-filled, joyful rendition of SCS Name That Tune! 😎🫶🎉
Wish our Athletes of the Week, Vanessa L. `26 and Tina Y `25 good luck as they head off to OFSAA in Barrie on Thursday, May 2, and go head to head with the top badminton players in their division in Ontario. They were recently undefeated during the OFSAA badminton qualifier last Wednesday. We commend them for their hard work and can`t wait to cheer them on in Barrie 🏸

Recently, 12 SCS students went to the MaRS Discovery District for the 7th Annual Toronto Youth Stem & Innovation Conference (TYSIC.) They heard from several speakers in STEM-related fields and participated in the Student Innovation Challenge. Congratulations to Vivian M. ’25, who is a co-chair of the TYSIC and Ellie P. ’24, who was on the conference organizing committee. Kudos also go out to the Grade 10 group who presented their “Health Spot” App, as well as the Grade 11 group who pitched “Our Green Block” as a way of addressing the UN’s mandate for sustainability. (The “Our Green Block” pitch made it to the final three!) 👏
It was one spectacular evening last Saturday, April 20 when the SCS Big Top rolled into town. A huge and heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the Gala – by purchasing tickets to attend the fun, by sponsoring the event, or through donations of amazing silent and live auction items. Thank you all for “stepping right up” and supporting SCS! (We’re also extending a special shout-out to the Gala Committee for all their incredible work in bringing the three-ring circus fun to life.) 🎪❤️
