Milton is an extraordinary place that offers talented and motivated students from 26 states and 23 countries a chance to explore and shine. Students at Milton pursue their interests and passions, and we celebrate their accomplishments across many disciplines. Milton boasts strong writers, including students who routinely win prestigious awards from institutions such as Princeton University and Bennington College. Athletes thrive at Milton—a male graduate, now at Notre Dame, is the football team's starting kicker, and a female graduate is a star hockey player at Yale. In Milton’s science center, one student conducted advanced research, now publishing her work in a renowned science journal and presenting at two professional conferences this fall. Milton's speech team competes at a national level; last spring one student was named the national champion in international extemporaneous speaking. Our music and community engagement programs regularly travel to other countries, recently to Belize, Germany, Poland and South Africa. Milton is an academically rigorous school, and it is also a nurturing one. Students experience this important balance between the head and heart as members of Milton’s century-old boarding program. A diverse group of 325 students live in eight, single-sex residential “houses” that are family-style and intimate.
The Dining Program on campus is provided by FLIK Independent Schools.

Milton offers a broad range of clubs and activities that provide opportunities for leadership, teamwork, performance and service. The school also encourages students to experience many different cultures.

Milton Academy 是一个结构比较特殊的学校。 它不仅有高中(600-700人），还有1到8年级（300人）。高中50/50寄宿/走读比例。 有很多人对Milton的特殊结构做与过多的猜疑何顾虑，但是从SAT和毕业倾向来说，只有andover，exeter，st.paul's, 和也许groton可以说比milton”强“。 它和lawrenceville,deerfield相当，比hotchkiss，choate，loomis,peddie等要强。当然，学校的好与坏，适合不适合有很多的因素。

Milton在中国名气不是太大，国际生招的比较少，只占8-10%。但是在当地很多元化，因为Milton一直是全美最适合居住的城市排名前10，学校有很多当地的亚裔和其他肤色的学生，占40%。 Milton离boston很近，大概8mile，学校1mile有地铁站，可以说是离大城市最近，交通最方便的一个含寄宿的学校。 离哈佛，MIT，20miles，历史来说是一个哈佛的种子学校。 学校占地不算大，但设备齐全也很漂亮，毕竟不在郊区，没有拥有很多的空地在那儿放着。 endowment中等，大概200millionUSD，不算高。
Milton的文科，写作，表演艺术很出名，当然理科也不会差。 学校体育很强，篮球2012年ISL第一，死对头是也在boston附近的noble and greenough。 -

学校的伙食很好，品种也很多。

整个学校有四栋男生宿舍，四栋女生宿舍，每栋楼里都有9到12年级的孩子，这样高年级孩子可以很好的帮助低年级孩子适应学校生活。每栋宿舍的学生居住人数从三十几位到四十几位不等。
新生报到时会有两位学长或学姐带领办各种手续，熟悉教室和校园。
周六和周日都不上课，可以有两天时间睡懒觉，周末的早餐也开始得很晚，感觉这个安排很好，很贴心。
ADVISOR和孩子住在同一个dorm,孩子们经常可以碰到他们。Dorm parents买了很多吃的放在楼里，孩子们可以自由的去拿来吃。
学校为长假不回家的孩子落实爱心寄宿家庭，这个安排也让远方的家长感觉很贴心，很放心。
总之每一位老师都很nice，同学间关系也很好，感觉很温馨
