主讲人

Ms. Simison (Kat)现任职于Miss Porter's School招办副主任，同时也是学校的女子曲棍球教练，国际学生教导员，拉丁学生联盟教导员。在加入Miss Porter's School前，Kat有多年辅助国际教学的经验，曾在西班牙的一所双语学校创立了美国西班牙学生交换项目，以帮助两国的学生到海外学习。Kat成长于康州，2011年以优异的成绩从Holy Cross毕业后，获得西班牙语和国际矛盾研究双学位。

Kathryn (or “Kat”, as she is known on campus) came to Miss Porter’s after an early career of supporting international education both in the U.S. and in Spain, where she lived for the five years prior to joining our community. A Connecticut native, Kat returned home and found her way to Porter’s as our Associate Director of Admission and Director of International Outreach.After graduating Cum Laude from Holy Cross in 2011, with a double major in Spanish and Peace & World Conflict Studies, Kat went to Spain on a Fulbright to start a Global Classrooms program in a bilingual school. This launched a career of creating exchange programs between the U.S. and Spain, giving students of both countries the opportunity to study abroad. Kat is very passionate about helping students break cultural barriers and become more aware of the global society that they live in. Kat lives on campus with her partner, Pablo, and their dog, Teddy, where she additionally serves as an advisor, a lacrosse coach, the International Student Advisor, and the Black Latina Student Alliance Advisor.
