It is really a pleasure for me join EFA in New York where I can receive both studying and a wonderful leisure time. Teachers here are always willing to help us and we access to distinctive cultures through students from all around the world. To have a global point of view, everyone can share ideas about some global issues according to their own countries situations, which really help to us finding solutions.

In class, group work and presentation that assigned by our teacher really consolidate my understanding of the subject. Also, to share ideas with other students, problem would have more novel solutions according to different cultures. After school, a wide range of clubs you can choose to relax like hiking or learning a foreign language which all depend on your interests. On weekends, we even can just stay in school and watch a movie because there is actually a big cinema inside our school.

The campus is huge and suitable for studying. The woods look extremely beautiful in the evening and the little squirrels (truly my favourite) add vitality to school life. These enables students to play varies of sports after school or simply having some fresh air with friends in our spare time.

Nevertheless, the most amazing part about the school is always people in the campus. Friends I’ve made in EF would be the ones that I would always be close to. -

The course teachers are caring as well. They have formed their special way of teaching which helped us switch our previous way of learning in our own countries gradually to the “Western” way. They are always there to solve our questions, such as, their lunchtime and weekends. Their sacrifice truly gave me a hand to achieve my targeted grades for my dream uni.

I’ve accomplished my two-year high school course here and EF really made it feel like home. The school has set up “pathway manager” group particularly help to deal with students’ everyday problems, in consideration of the situation that international students may not get used to local life. These teachers are exceptionally patient with our concerns, I remember my pathway manager has talked me through loads of my worries about host family life and university application stress.

Our life wasn’t just about study. We have trips every Friday after school and Saturday afternoon. For example, we have trip to NYC or Rock climbing. All you need to make is just sign up for the trip.
I’ve stay in this school for a long time, this school is just like my second home, although this place is not perfect, I believe that people together could make this school become better and better.

We have seven classes every day and after classes we have clubs every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. There are greater than 20 different clubs and they all very interesting. I was join the art club last year and I'm intending to work in the drama club in the future.

Most teacher is very friendly and quite strict to the students. I remember there’s a time that my Math grade goes down because I didn't understand the unit we learned at that time, so my math teacher found me and we had a meeting.

The room that we live was pretty good, someone will help us clean the room every week.

Cafeteria is part of my favorite places in this school. There are more than twenty different kinds of food at every meal. No matter if you are a vegetarian or you need gluten free food, you can easily search for the best choice for you.
As a student in the IGCSE course, the class begins at eight thirty and ends at three thirty-five.

One of the most things that I love this school is this school is a multicultural school. I can still remember my two roommates when I studied in this school for the first year: one was from Angola and another was Thai. I took a Spanish course in the first year and that was difficult. My roommate who came from Angola helped me a lot. I tried to made conversation with him every day and let him to fixed my grammar.

When I first came to this school I was very nervous, it was the first time that I ever leave my home and need to get to another country to study. But luckily, the house parent and the other students there were helpful and they made me out that situation.
